Details

Cacao Blessings works directly with women cacao growers across Bocas del Toro, keeping more of the production process on the islands and supporting local communities through every harvest. The workshop connects those stories with a hands-on introduction to cacao that goes far beyond the finished chocolate bar.

What to Expect

Bean-to-bar tasting

The session begins with a tasting that follows cacao from bean to chocolate, including conversations about cultivation, processing, and the people behind each harvest.

Hands-on cooking workshop

After the tasting, participants cook together using cacao and locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is informal, with plenty of room for questions, stories, and shared moments around the kitchen table.

Meet the people behind the project

Cacao Blessings is a women-led initiative that works closely with local growers throughout the region. Joining the workshop directly supports a model that keeps more value, knowledge, and production within Bocas del Toro.

What Makes It Special

Most visitors encounter cacao as a finished product. This workshop adds the people, places, and traditions behind it, creating a much broader picture of how cacao continues to shape everyday life on the islands.
