Atmosphere

Bom Bom Beach Bar sits on Bluff Beach, toward the end of the developed stretch of sand. Beyond this point, the coastline becomes noticeably more wild and untouched, with no additional bars or restaurants nearby.

The bar is set directly on the sand, with open views of the Atlantic waves. On the right day, you can watch surfers riding the nearby Kamikaze break, depending on swell and weather. The setting feels open and exposed, with powerful ocean energy and plenty of space around you.

There are beach loungers where you can spend the afternoon by the sea, relax in the sun, and settle in for a few hours.

What to Expect

The menu features wood-fired pizza, along with burgers, seafood dishes, and straightforward beach-style comfort food, paired with cold beers and simple cocktails.

There’s a solid happy hour, making it easy to stay through the afternoon and into sunset.

This is not a swimming beach. The waves and currents are strong and can be dangerous. Bom Bom is a place to relax, eat, enjoy a cocktail in the sun, and take in the raw ocean scenery rather than casually step into the water.

Good to Know

There is a public collectivo bus from Bocas Town running throughout the day to Bluff Beach. The fare to Bom Bom (final stop) is approximately $3.50 per person.

A taxi from Bocas Town costs around $20 total (up to 4 people). You can also reach it by quad, bicycle, or motorcycle, though the road becomes rougher toward the end of Bluff Beach.

It feels quieter and more spacious than spots in town, especially outside peak hours.
