Native Chocolate is a small, family-run business deeply rooted in Bocas. The chocolate is produced locally using organic cacao, and everything — from roasting to shaping — happens right here.
Run by Bocas local Eve Downer, the project also supports Indigenous women and local community initiatives, making it more than just a shop.
If you’re lucky, you might even see cacao beans drying outside, giving you a glimpse into the process behind the chocolate.
The chocolate is made with a unique recipe that doesn’t melt easily, ideal for the tropical climate and perfect to take home.
Flavors go beyond the usual, including cinnamon, ginger, coconut, coffee, caramel, and even spicy options like habanero. The taste is rich, intense, and honestly just really, really good.
Everything feels handmade, personal, and genuinely local.
A small, simple stand where you can quickly stop by, try a few flavors, and pick your favorites. They sometimes also offer homemade treats and local drinks.
