Visit Monkey Island, a small rescue center where monkeys that cannot return to the wild live in a protected environment. The animals are used to human presence, allowing for close observation and interaction.
You’ll meet Francine, who cares for the monkeys and shares insights into their stories and behavior, offering a deeper understanding of the rescue and rehabilitation process.
After the visit, there is an optional stop for lunch before continuing to a beautiful and more remote beach on Isla Popa, where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
There is also the possibility to go snorkeling, depending on conditions.
Please note that the entrance fee to the rescue center ($25 adults / $10 children) is not included in the tour price.
This is a rare chance to learn about rescued animals up close — remember that this is a sanctuary, so respectful behavior towards the monkeys is essential.
